Fondue, What is this?

Never have Fondue..before...really. I actually ask my sister what is this?

chocolate...take go and melt, mixed with milk or oil? was really curious how this would taste like..

Was invited to a gathering @ mf's place...with some STM friend...

The Place...Jurong East...(quite Far though....MRT...)

But manage to reach there at around 2.30pm....Super late...all those folks already there enjoying themselves...

Here is the fondue.., was really nice....my favorite chocolates, wonder is it oil or milk...I guess is the latter...was really hot when I tasted it...with mush mellow...

The menu...nuggets....soft drinks...chips...the nuggets...must be the favorites...almost finishing..lo

Was really a great catch-up...gossip....truth....how is everybody..stuff...and Who is the best actress (Oscar??) and the best crying show...they have seen so far...(can't go into details...la...)

and the adorable Marcus...bk's very cute son..lo..sleep on mf's bed...watch TV with mf's dad and circle around the "money" plant in mf's living

Receive a unexpected call on Tuesday, 22-Jan. Guess..who, it's Pek Si Min...the aka "Siao Zha Po", meaning Mad women. Objective of the call, An Invitation to her Wedding....surprise....kinda forgotten she mentioned it during DC's Wedding...

Although it was late cos she did not have my H/P no. I really gald to be part of the celebration. No wonder I thought how come Douglas is coming to town.

Food was really nice and the company(those seating with us in the same table) as well, it a good get-together...

Here we are discussing our next pranck, It is also the first time i was "kinda involved" in the after dinner..."funz" event....really enjoy myself. I hope the bride and the groom enjoy it as well..

We did so much "pranck" which some of them...cannot be describe here, but it was so funny....I am almost in tears...from laughing...

The bride......."getting ready" ....notice the bottle of liquor in the photo, I got really "red" after downing 2 shots. Don remember what's the brand i drank....but it lasted till 3am...

We had prata before heading home at around 3am...Luckily I did not throw out the prata...

My Birthday...month....celebrate..I am OLD

I hope it an exciting month to look forward to...I getting Older this month...the magic number increases by 1....this time of the year for me...

Growing old is part of life..most important is what I have done with it....really thank God for whatever he has given to me...I wouldn't have walk thus far and still achieving..without him

Have an early celebration on 27-Feb, Wed with my Insurance consultant, LE, was kinda a surprise...though having gone through a couple of celebration during my younger days, have been really tired to have a proper celebration...(actually more interested in celebrating for others...) -- Part of getting older...I think...

We have our dinner and Delifrance, Hougang Mall, quite a good atmosphere, but service here really suck though...staff...seem not trained to serve the customer well,

When their promotional meals went out, they don even come out with alternatives, but just charge the customer more...(Singapore have a long way to go to catch up with the likes of the Europeans and amercian..in this area)

I ordered a "Carbonara", which i thought was really BAD....the sauce is too diluted...but luckily the soup of the day, Muchroom soup is still ok....the staff is still kind enough to offer us another Soup of the day on the house though...

Their "Value" meal....Menu.. though after this session, doubt would ever want to come here specifically to eat....service is of concern

But on the other note, it the company that matters, enjoy talking with my consultant over my policy performance(which is doing great) and also over some of her customer experience and also God's encounter....

Really looking forward to this coming Mar...Mum birthday is also around the corner, and we are deciding whether to have the usually "Zhi Cha" or a korean meal..., gathering at mf's place...a gathering with my university mates...(2 of such event actually) and a oncoming project at work in Mar as well (I will be so busy then...things are already starting to "Ramp" up) + lots of great movies in Mar, Meet the Spartan, 10,000 BC, Spiderwick Chronicles, and animation, Horton hear a who...

The Best Avocado Drink in the World

I have always love Avocado drink...try it at Kovan, Hougang Point outlet as well, cost about $2.60 but none even come close to the ones sold at this place in Queensway Hawker center opposite Queensway shopping center, and it cheaper, $2.00 Flat, a larger cup

Use to come over to MC's place and have this drink while chit chating.

The place...Opposite Queensway shopping Center at a stall call..."Mr Avocado Exotic Juice"

The Taste : concentrated...sweet and refreshing...cannot really describe that kind of taste...All I can say...I have never tasted such good juice before...Go try it....

Service is great, fast and efficient...

Early Yuan Siao Celebration....19-Feb-2008

We did an early Yuan Siao on 19-Feb, Tues...well as my sis need to go to her....in law place as well...

This year, Yuan Siao fall on Thurs, 21-Feb.

We have my 4th Lou Hei this year....at our "Messy" and small kitchen...

Mum got from "Select" this very or must I say, larger than usual "lou Hei" plate at a cheaper than usually price...Staff discount...haha...All the ingredients in...after all our auspicious...greetings

Overall, we have fun and a nice time of get together....hard to find with everyone so busy during working days to come by as a family....

Uncle's place for CNY

It's my Uncle(Aka Mum's younger brother)'s turn to hold the CNY Dinner. An event we take turns to held it every CNY. The Place to be today is Rio Vista Condo...


I shall not go too much into details....blogging can cause lots of visits...to this area...:-)

We were kinda late though....all waiting for us only...we started off with the "Lou Hei" first, 3 plates to "Lou"....hopefully it represent 3x the gain....career advancement....promotion....Huat huat ah...

My Uncle & Aunt just came back from Australia visiting my cousin studying there...All these food here were from catering...but I forgot what is the company...

Trying..trying....is the food good?

We have Shark Fin...Curry...Vege scallop and fried Noodles...Scallop was ok, but the shark fin and noodles were bit on the salty side....and also quite oily for the noodles...as well


How could I have miss the curry, it look really delicious here...but was bit on the diluted side...not good.

Fried Pork....not too good ...got some kind of smell....

Go together with the Curry, maybe it was left out for too long, was cold and soft when I try it

Cold dish...with prawn, Taiwan BBQ pork, century egg...weird combination though....so so for this dish though...


Although the food was not too brilliant, but all of us manage to finish the food though

On the whole, it was a really relax and enjoyable evening together. A great get-together where we see each of our relatives...which we hardly see...sometimes...Well, hopefully we have a get-together real soon....hopefully some where in Sep...(something great is happening...)

We also catch some photo taken in Australia by my uncle...look like my cousin...ZW have put on some weight...well...can't be help...they eat lots of meat there lo.....

A special day, 17-Feb-2008,

The lord really touches me in the most unusual way and unexpected as well today


He know I got some problems and is afraid to ask, but out of no way, he send somebody from Thailand to seat beside me on a bus. She unexpectedly talk to me asking for direction to my church.


This is how the whole events started, we started chatting and in no time, we arrived at our Church. I ask if she want to sit together with me and my friends and she agreed.


I actually tell her lot of my experience i had in church and ever since coming back to the Lord what I have gone through


She wanted to help me though...but I was abit shy as don really know her that well....but the Lord guides...and the most surprising thing happen at the end of service....


She ask me to go the the "Altar" for prayers....something I would never thought of doing....(scared la)....


I receive a gift I had wanted to receive ....it felt really strange but it touches you in a way I have never felt before....

Everything felt so comforting after that....

Though I not sure what my other friends were really thinking, most thought i brought a colleague...but was really surprise I don really know her...


Well....this verse in the Bible....reminded me of this special day and to be thankful to the Lord
"Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find; Knock and the door will be opened to you; For everyone who ask receives;he who seek finds; and to him who knock, the door will be opened"

For God have plans for you in everything you ask of him. He know what is the Best thing for you.

All went very well

It turn out that my worries are for nothing...things fall into the right place at the right time

The Telcon went on pretty well, I got my chance to present my slides, though I felt that they don really care about the data much, they seem to be more interested in their own data. haha

After the Telcon which ended at about 8.45am, I quickly have to rush to do the test plans. I actually went into the "he donno me" boss to ask him about some configuration which need his decision. but he was busy and ask me to come back in 15mins (which I did not)

I was busying asking another friend of mine his opinion of my draft plan. He was really kind and helpful, as he know the data more, he know who to approach to seek information,

He actually told me "he donno me" boss will plan the test plan himself and send out....true...the plan was send out later at about 1015am. Have a short discussion with this boss later though...to finalise the plan. Wasn't really involved in the discussion though...more of a listener...

The next move now is to start the plan execution...

Have a surprise in the afternoon as the boss of the next program approach me to follow him to "design center" to introduce some key people to me and also to go for a meeting.

It was really an eye-opener, got to know a number of the people which i only hear of them during Telcon....they seem to be a nice sort, really looking forward to really contribute...haha

I also have a short "get to know" conversation with this manager, he is really a very positive person....have the can do attitude. Have given me lots of tips on how to build up my knowledge...
Will be following him around on Monday, night though to another meeting....

Hopefully I can gain some insight on the job...which i still feel i am very very blur about...

A Real Challenge...Finally

I having my first "Real" Challenge at work tomorrow..15-Feb. It goes like this...

- morning Telcon...with the US..people..
have never been to this telcon before, and the stuff i will be present, I know nuts about it...
worst...I don know any of the Telcon people...and also not sure..if there are any "nasty" bosses or people in that Telcon...sign...

- The Real stuff
After that....as my Senior on leave tomorrow, so I might have to stand in for him in likely most of the stuff...again which I have no idea how to do...(Blur blur one...)

-Test matrix...planning....
-Test result intepretation
-Meeting with "He donno me" bosses...

One assuring thing is that, my boss seem to think I could manage...(surprise)

Confidence and my trust with the Lord is all I need now.
Read this very meaningful Psalm 23, which I should always keep in mind...be it in times of fear or trouble, doubt...but all the time...

He is always with me...trust in him and you will feel peace and calmness
