A surprise Visit...Changi T3

When everyone with "big" families and friends are still visiting..and collecting "aug pao"...I started my movie marathon....catch the show by stephen chow's CJ7 with CF. Will be watching show after show the next few days...taking my friend, "d" advise to watch more chinese movies.

The papers review mentioned CJ7 is quite touching. The child actor did a really good job. I totally agreed....the dubbing was very good as well although half way through the show, I found that the lip is out of sync....

Nothing much really to do after the show...and also nothing much really to eat, with still most shop not open yet...(courts is open though with quite alot of people as well)

We ate...crappy food...Macdonald's...prosperity chicken burger, nothing special except for the black pepper sauce they use in it and don really like it as well....cost me some $7+ for the meal...expensive..

Thought it would be a good idea to visit our newly open T3, Changi Airport...surprise CF is interested as well.

The train to Changi...quite empty....when we set-off to Tanah Merah, no wonder they don want to build a direct line to the airport....

One thing about T3, you can see the inside of the transit area, something i did not notice when i was using T2. The floor mat is unique though....

Their immigration area...with trees...very similar to T2

Their Departure hall, huge and spacious..all new counters and flat panel displays, heard that the celling is suppose to allow sunlight in to save electricity...but can't see it now since it night time

This is taken from the viewing gallery area...the inside of the transit area...all the real shopping are inside...

Another shot of the "inside"

Chinese new year flowers...at the airport (some fake ones though). Lots of "indians" taking photos of it...

Auto-check-in counter, with luggage weight as well..cool, but heard u need to apply for it first.

T2 is directly opposite of T3... took the skytrain from T2 to T3

A stupid robotic motorised flower that spin and turn up and down, not sure what the objective of this display or what is it use for? it does seem to do anything except to entice people to look at it...(make us stupid...)

Only SQ(Singapore Airlines and a few others use this terminal) and u need to check where the SQ flight lands or depart before hand....else...u have to carry all your "barang barang" all the way from T2 to T3. But save bet is any SQ flight out of South East Asia is departing from T3.

Shopping is a key thing to do in T3, they even have a food court at Basement 2....damn....I should have had my dinner here....rather than eating crappy food.

Some structure which i find photo-worthy....(very boliao right)...These structure are in fact just above the MRT station

The MRT Station entrance from T3 side

How could I leave this place without some "memories"....so here a photo of myself at T3...CF is too shy and afraid to be inside this photo....(haha..did not ask though).

The recent scandal in HK.....doubt he wants...anyway...

Hiaz...donno is the body or the shirt....look damn lousy here.....sad...:-)

Visiting..Visiting..2 families

Back in my "younger" days, my sis and I use to go alot more houses to visit and get more red packets...it seems like a challenge to always better our yearly collections amount for red packets. Haha, didn't understand those times, my mum and dad are the most "sad" because they hand-out even more red packets than we received.

We use to start at my grand-mum place, at commonwealth, visit my great grand-mum, then go to my grand-mum's sister place (all my dad's side relatives) before ending at mum's mummy(aka "ma2 ma3") places in AMK

When we grow older, the "trend" changes, I grow less interested in these visiting and we stop going to so many places...this year we visited 2, My grand-mum and "ma2 ma3" place.

A lot have changes over the course of time, now my grand-mum hardly remember stuff, luckily she still remember me, she will be coming over to our place to live with us...

Me, my sis and granny...promise the spend more time with her, when she come over...been visiting her lesser since i came back from UK. guilty...

The CNY goodies at granny place

There is this "new" puppy my aunt got.....really cute..

We left to visit my "ma2 ma3" at about 5pm. Ma2 Ma3 is preparing a very delicious dinner for us. My uncle and aunt will be there as well.

Check out the table-setup...Chicken, fish, herbal soup, mushroom, vegetables...

We have 2 fish...le

We have a round of "lou hei", think we probably have another round next week, when my uncles and "2nd uncle" return from their trip.

A "Ratatouille" Reunion Dinner

As usual, family gather for the "annual" reunion dinner. This year is no different. You may want to refer to my blog dated 2006 to see any difference...

Knock off from work at around 12.30pm, headed down to the gym to do some workout before going home for dinner

Steamboat is the theme this year(2008), only difference....no rice....we have..

Fish balls, Meat balls and Sotong balls

Chicken, and "Fake" Abalone (aka frozen Abalone)

lots of Prawns and fish

Lots of green vegetables...

and home cook chicken curry

with some Chilly from "Sanur" restaurant

All together with our boiling hot "Steamboat"

My sis and her hubby also came over to "dip" in the stuff before rushing off to her mother-in-law place to have another round. All in all, a very filling and enjoyable meal...everyone looking forward to a great year ahead, especially my sis who will be having their baby this year...will continue to pray for her....

My sis and my mum...enjoying the meal...

Me and my sis...happily...enjoying the meal...

Steamboat after 1hr

Our Chinese new year collections

Fuji Apples anyone, these apples are super sweet....but still prefer the korean ones

But there are quite nicely "package" though

After dinner, we enjoy the regular TV, mediacorp artistes performing the CNY variety show...nothing new really;

the regular zodiac sign forecast for the year...really miss the years when Channel U is own by SPH...we get better programmes then..This year programming is even worst than last year...with repeats and repeats...the malaysian channel are showing much newer show..lo..hiaz...no competition means...lesser motivation ...lo...

The countdown event...with people in studio and chinatown...

surprise..surprise...Mickey mouse is on TV....wishing us a Happy Chinese New year...

I switch over to Channel U later....and found that the Taiwanese are really creative and their variety show are so much more funny and fun...

Oranges...Oranges...CNY is coming...

Today is the eve of eve of Chinese New Year, 5-Feb. We have a little celebration at my new company. The whole department....did a "Lou Hei", wishing for a great year ahead...

Am really looking forward to the year ahead, look like 1 of the stuff i will be handing will be of great importance to the company...as what the director mentioned....hopefully I would have prepared myself well enough for the task.

To be honest, felt that I have not really done enough...hopefully I will make up for it after the new year celebration...aka 11 feb onwards...haha

We have a very nice lunch, plates are all fully fill-up with food from out company catherer, Stamford food service, am really surprise their food can be "this" great....I have tried eating at the canteen, the food really suck...big time there. (As bad as STM's Woko). Think I can lose weight by eating in the canteen for a month...keep u updated on how bad the food really is...

At the end of the session, boss give out the CNY's oranges to everyone....in beautiful bag..

2 oranges inside...even number represent good luck I think, in Chinese culture....haha

I even got oranges from Fitness first this year...

Will be going down tomorrow for a workout before going for the reunion dinner...

Signing off for now...pray for a good year ahead....and a nice reunion dinner tomorrow...Will keep all my friend in prayer always....send me a comment if you need prayers...will be more than willing to pray for you....God Bless...

In the mood for shopping...Yeah

Well...expected to spend more than usually this month in Feb'08, with CNY around the corner.

1. Get some CNY clothings....upgrade my wardrobe...for the year (getting "vainer" now that i older)
2. CNY goodies...(got 2 from Siew Voon, collecting then later today)
3. Extra Cash,$$ for mum and dad for their yearly red packet...to relatives
4. A nice haircut (though not much hair to cut anyway, but still need to look neat)
5. Enjoy the CNY new year movie offering...we have CJ7, Ah Long Pte Ltd, Jay chou's Kung Fu Dunk? and also some interesting "Ang Mo Hee", The Mist, Atonement and Baby gone baby seem good
My CNY clothing hunting so far...3 "tight fitting" LS Shirt from Domachi...1 "Rugged" Pants from Celio, 1 Nike Sport Shirt, 1 "fancy" belt from Celio as well
Here is the "Fancy" belt...I brought for about $23 from CELIO

From Domachi, 3 "Expensive" Shirts, hopefully my boss wouldn't find these not appropriate for work. Went for these colors, for some reason, really like the pink and maroon ones, look different in those, choose the grey one just to be on the safe side. and they are not cheap...forgot to bring my Citibank Credit card, they give 10% discount, would have save about $25....the bill....hiaaz.....

spend over $240 on these 3 shirts....

Their carry bag is quite nice IMO though...haha

Also brought another pants and a sport shirt on a separate occasion. All together spend some $500 already on these...getting poorer liao...

Somebody, tell me how to grow more $$.....there seem to be never enough money...
