Visitation on Tiger Year

This year Lunar New year, The year of the tiger falls on Valentine's Day, 14th Feb. It's a special date for lovers...and this year....it will probably be even more meaningful for some of us who are attached (Sadly not me...lol)

Prepare to start out journey with a visit to my Granny home in Punggol....Little Girl all dressed up on Red...tradition color

Mum with her favorite girl......

Every Chinese New Year, our first stop would always be a stop at our beloved Granny place. She used to stay in Commonwealth, but have since move in with my auntie a couple of year back.

Welcoming us is this cute little "male" doggie that is so interested in Xuan's Urine smell...dirty little doggy...so Horny!!!

Auntie make this...longan dessert, rather tasty. She dream to one day be able to open up a shop selling thing she cooks. Tough dream to be a hawker but at least there is something in her mind now...Let hope it work out!!.

Some of my most craved New Year Goodies are at this place. Bah Kwa...all special cuts

Pineapples tart. I have a really sweet tooth!!

and the nutty biscuit that always appear during CNY Period. I can actually finish up the entire box within minutes.!!! opps

My Auntie is a long lover. I remember hearing that when her last dog which look a little like lassy, died, she cried alot.

Before leaving for my other granny place. Took a rare family photos...My Granny is losing her memory day by day. Hardly able to remember us or even do her necessary household chores. I pray that God will bless her in her remaining live, and that it would be a good one.

Baby Xuan saying goodbye to the puppy!!!. It is probably her very first time encountering a puppy. Must say she really like pets.

Welcoming 2011

The Nor is usually to Marina Square to watch the countdown and fireworks, but this year trying something different. Gathering with Henry and Gang for a Buffet Dinner along Geylang Lor 23.

Geylang has been known for it's delicious food and also their doggy even number street "red Light District"
Originally, the plan was to celebrate Henry's Belated birthday.....turn out to a welcoming 2011 celebration...lol.....The Place "free People BBQ Steamboat" translated directly from Chinese...
Prices for the Steamboat buffet is rather Standartd, $22 inclusive of GST, but comes with only 1 soft-drink only.
Food wastage is charge as an additional of 15% on top of the bill. I wonder how they really implement this? I suppose it's either there is really a significant large wastage will they start charging,
Eating Environment is cozy and there isn't much crowd here, probably due to everyone heading to the City Center or other venues to watch countdown and fireworks
The Buffet includes these 2 soup base, one is hot and spicy, the other is kinda like chicken soup base with some herbal ingredients.
A vast Variety of food ready to be cook....eggs, noodles, maize, veges....
You can also do your mini "Yong Tau Foo" here....
These are the items for BBQ, There is a BBQ Station in the restaurant.
The fruits variety is lacking though, they only have dragonfruit and Watermelon.
I am rather surprise they have cakes included as well..though their cake tasted quite bad...lol
Some of the groups photos we took during the buffet...here Mr Lim with his regular beer kakis
With me of course...notice the size difference...lol
3 of us meet during the Army....been like >10years......times flies and it is really great that we are still in touch...lol

We headed of to some beer session (Which I didn't actually like it) @ a Chinese KTV Club....it was rather noisy inside...didn't really talk much except listening to people singing....

2011 comes in without fireworks this time round but there was a countdown inside the club.....

2010 was one roller coaster ride.....especially toward the end, Career & Love luck hasn't been shining bright for me in 2010, Financially I was also rather down, let hope I can resolve all these problems in 2011
