A very down to earth conversation

A Fun filled month....so far....and the last weekend of the month, 29-Mar is no different...
Meet up with "d" and quek and dinner and a games night....but end up chit chatting more....till 3am...

what was it we are talking about....curious...??

Suppose to also watch a movie...but we couldn't agree on the movie to watch...d & quek want to watch...The Empress & the Warriors, but don really want to invest...in a movie that will be available for rental...in April...

we went E2-max @ Level 9, Cineleisure...to play Winning 11 though....haha manage to "Trash" Mr D in it...thanks to the practice session with Eric....haahhaa

Session ended around 1145pm...time for supper....(say Mr D)......supper ended some 3hrs later...so what did we talk about...??

Deep topics...though...rising cost..of living in Singapore..and what can be done....

Kinda of think of it...things in Singapore have been on the rise @ rate of 5% for the past few months...everything is more more expensive ..now....$10 cannot last you more than 2 days now...

Mr D got much to say about but can't tell much here..la.....(it's his freedom of speech le)...but he did enlighten me to alot of things.....the most important....(which I am surprise)...is the more I need to trust God more...(serious...It was in my mind...)...All my worries and fear....I trust God....for he is with me always...

I end with this meaning and assuring message...from John 14:12-14
" I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name and I will do"

Trust in him and everything will ...be taken care of...

The Run.....10Km...this time...Exhausted....

2nd time I join my collegues...for a jog...and this time is 10Km...my very first time doing it....
same old route..except instead of running straight to Sengkang East...We turn right and follow the LRT tracks all the way to Compass point...

Jog down a very quite road ....toward compass point though...and was quite amazed by the scenery of the region...but I was too "boh chup" to bring a camera to take....was thinking i would be way to tired to take anyway...

by the half way mark....it only me, "s" and "f", all of them jog pretty fast...though I sped off once I reach compass point...trying my best to at least see "v" who went very fast...

but too bad...was way to slow in the beginning to really catch-up

In the end, I think i take 1hr & 15mins to complete the track...lousy right....hope to do better....the target...below 60mins....

btw, I kinda burn 1000 calories today, 300 in the morning jogging @ the gym and 600 from the 10km jogging.....

Very very tired...after that....

looking forward to this coming Tuesday though...good training...before we run our marathon coming up in May I think

The fun...gaming night...

Well..After Dinner...@ XO Noodle store...I finally got a chance to be chauffeur by Darren...really exciting....to be in his Honda CRV....really big and spacious..and also very smooth...

Unfortunately...some "birdy" shit....landed on his car....trying hard to clear it off.....

We actually wanted to catch the show...Water horse, Legend of the deep, but was not showing @ Cineleisure...so we decide to go gaming...

Xbox360....game : Wresting....not too fun....confusing control...most of the time we are just pressing the buttons and trashing whoever come my way...."irregardless whether my partner or not"

Switch to Fifa 08 and split to groups of 2s, me with Eric (which is expected to loss), Darren went with ryan....in-order not to loss..

Darren : I am on the winning Team...mahaha

But they got "trash" by Eric and me....something like 3-0...which they blame it on "unfairness" , lousy controller....and whatever...

Hiaz....but still not able to defeat them...in the 2nd round though...but the score...only 2-1....la.....
Sorry Eric...me could have done better la.....

Fun night.....after all...remind me of my sheffield's days when our flat would be "transform" into a gaming den...playing Red Alert and Fifa 2001/2002 tournament....

We even setup a Champion League like tournament....and compete....but too bad...I am out by the first round....

Chit chat....@ Coffee Bean later the night....on dating experience....valuable...very valuable experience and tips for me....

Belated...Birthday...with "Engineers"

I kinda celebrate my 33rd birthday with my university mate...on the 22nd Mar...A Saturday at Holland V, XO Fish Head Beehoon Store...

This store quite famous...@ Holland V...I have tried their XO beehoon before...GREAT

Wasn't really expecting a huge turnout....expected the usual guys...Eric, Darren, Ryan...and me lo...but well am I surprise with who i met at the dinner....the "unusual" visitors....Alvin, Wilfred and surprise...AH LAM..

As most of us...especially ...wil...Ah Lam and Alvin...never seen each other for quite sometime...lot of catching up to do...Wonder...what these 2 are talking about...

Aren't we all surprise that each one of us...have been a housemate with AH LAM....Cheeky..guy...is his 3rd year house mate....memorable....isn't it...I was his...1st year...housemate..and Eric & ryan was his 2nd yr...

Happy Birthday Mummy

Since mum's birthday fall on 13th Mar, Thursday, we decided to celebrate it during the weekend, 15th Mar. The Place...as recommended by the online forum..Red Star Restaurant

This one says...definitely return for another try....rating was 8.9 for the food

Though there are also some that say it bad


Some how, we miss the main door and enter by the back door where all the cooks are resting....the back door sure look "dirty"....Red Star Restaurant (back of the restaurant)


We arrive quite early, about 9.30am...not too much people....guess..we are the KS ones..


Fried prawn dumpling.."Ming Har Guo" as in Cantonese..This one was GREAT...nice...order 2 of them


Their Famous...Egg Tart....This is the BEST...Order 2 of them...and they are difficult to come by,...really popular..

The photo is blur...due to the low light ..and shaky hands...but this is "Chicken Leg" as the Emu mentioned..it.., but actually call..."Phoenix leg", Feng Jiao..This one was OK, Order 2 as well


Seriously, this must be one of the worst "Chee Cheong Fun" I tried..so far, even those at the hawker center taste much better....REGRET...


Century Egg Porridge...Tasteless...and not good at all....Crystal Jade ones...taste way better...


Siew Mai.....so so....bit on the salty side


Har..Gao...prawn dumplings....so so as well....nothing special...


Dumpling Soup...sama...sama...nothing special...and not very good also


This must be the 2nd worst...dish of the morning...Carrot Cake...taste...REAL BAD....Sticky and watery


A Better looking version of the carrot cake...this is the Fried Version...but same ingredient...so equally taste BAD

Their pomelo...Pudding...This is GREAT..sweet enough.....and refreshing....This is really Famous..in Malaysia..and my sis is telling me...Malaysia's ones..taste much better than this...

Overall, the Food Sucks....save for a few good dish...like the egg Tarts and the Dessert...everything else either taste super BAD or so so....and it Cost $99 altogether....


To think of it...they even got paper review..saying they are GOOD...looking closely...probably they are good at their main course dish...not for their Dim Sum....it either the standard of their Dim Sum drop super low....or we make a mistake lo...(haha)

The Run....5km...

The past 2 weeks having been really rich...starting to get job done actually...beside the daily status updates, I am now involved in experiment. It's really Fun..fun...

Work days use to last till 5.30pm sharp, but is getting to end later...at least 6pm to 7.30pm...is this a good sign??

Well, I finally join my collegues for a 5Km run around our company, those involve, V, F, S, Me...It was say to be 5km run....but it feel like more than that...

Overall, a pleasant and fun jog...I am surprise to finish 2nd among the 4 runners...But I think I went slower than I did in the gym on the Trendmill....haha...

Discover lot of new site I never have thought of...during the run, and Sengkang West is actually so near (5mins run away)...there is a church along YCK road....

Will update with photos when I join them this coming ...Tuesday, if it doesn't rain...looking forward...to joining them for more fun run around the company....

PC show, 2008, Mar

The date, Mar 8-9, Sat and Sunday

The Annual PC show..is back in 2008. It is quite usual for me to visit every PC/IT/Sitex, whatever they call it...to get some cheap deals....they do give out more "freebies" here at the show

The bad thing is ....THE CROWD...OF Frustrating people blocking all the possible EXITs with their printers...BODY...Baby trolley with baby inside(serious)

2 floors of PCs and Consumer products...(3rd and 6th floor @ Suntec City Convention Hall)

The Jam when trying to get into Suntec City Convention Hall...all these lazy people...didn't they know there is another short-cut, take u 5mins to get into the hall..rather than queue her for 15mins...

Everybody pack so close to each other on the escalator...

Blu-Ray player ...the industry standard for HD...HD-DVD is now History...BUT, blu-ray is still so Expensive....$999...I rather get PS3

Looking at the crowd...PS3 is going to sell big numbers...only thing preventing them from doing so is the sky high prices....$549 for 40GB, 799 for 80GB, plus...games cost at least $79...

Was there to get some memory cards (SD and SD HC for my future DSLR Camera :-)) and also to get a Seagate Free-agent Go 160GB for "k" , manage to get 2 sets of Free-Agent for $129. It was really crowded, not enough time to look at the best price for the SD cards, but 1GB cost around $10 now....

Comparison with my older Seagate first Generation drive...it is actually smaller and better design..I brought the older one for $199. FYI, the portable HDD on the left..is Seagate 1st 2.5" HDD....look how much technology have changed...

Hopefully I will save up enough $$ to get my DSLR in Jun during the Next PC show....getting very POOR after folking out the cash for this....gadget...
