My First CNY in singapore since i am back from UK

s~?, Turn out that my Chinese still can make it...haha.
Today (CNY Eve) turn out to be a surprise to me, there isn't much on TV in the morning (As usual, no-body might be watching anyway...still sleeping....) but anyway I woke up late....10.30am...that the only day i get to wake up this late (if i am not working on saturday of course) +( sunday lo)

Was actually thinking of going to shop around....downstair of course, but too lazy...spend my time watching boring TV and experimenting with my collegue new digital camera Sony T5 which she loan me over the CNY period.

This camera was kind of handy, slim and small with a large 2.5" LCD. Actually tempted me to get my Canon S45 replaced with a smaller less bulky camera. But the Sony still suffer from bad night shots which are common among Digital camera of this category....(Non professional series)..maybe the Sony T9 with supersteady shot would solve this problem...haha...that will cost me some 700 bucks...not a good investment at the moment
Have been using Canon S45 for the past 3 years since i came back from the UK. Recently brought to France, during my Oversea Training. Photos taken with the camera is really good but the latest camera now are much faster in response time, though i must say, the Canon beat The Sony when it come to picture quality, Canon photos are richer in color compare to Sony which tend to be whiter.

So my decision....wait for the price drop or a lucky draw price?

At about 3 plus, my dad and mum are starting to get ready all the stuff needed for steamboat,
wow, my parent do store up lots of food in the fridge (Well the shops will not be open the next couple of days)

(momo cha cha), curry(Kinda Hot though) were some of the goodies that mum have prepared. We even have the ? stuff for later "lau ?". I took this opportunity to try out the Sony Camera. Not too bad. though some of the shots are not very sharp, got to do with my steady hand...hehee.
Steamboat Dinner is ready by 6pm. Although don really like Steamboat dinner, but this dinner was Ok, not too full, cos i ask mum not to cook rice...we only have steamboat, sister brought the abalone she brought during her honeymoon in Japan over to eat, quite nice. Overall the steamboat is one of the best i have tasted so far, the soup is expecially tasty.
After Steamboat, mum brought out her ? package to do a lao ?. Interesting, it quite a big size one, lucky we have 5 people to finish it up. Doubt my sis and her hubby can continue their dinner at their mum side later on.....suggested to them to walk up the stair to burn up some food first so that still can have some space to fill-in.
Reunion dinner ended at about 7.30pm, quite early consider most of the time (last time) we finish at about 8+. So as usual, it time for TV again...the New Year Eve movie around this time should be one of the most exciting one we seen for the year as Ch 8 usually will put Jackie Chan movies on Tele...but recently years, hardly any Jackie (?) movie. Think maybe he is off to Hollywood that why? hopefully, they bring in his recent show : ?, think the one with a korean star in it...even a indian star in it as well.
Let Disgress a little and talk about the movies on TV. Only 1 word to describe, Sucks, the one on Ch8 by j?, donno what the show is actually trying to communicate, lot of copycat from the hollywood productions...Jurassic Park...silly.
Lucky the Annual Chinese New Year Variey show is still ok...lots of stars to see...but felt that the lucky draw section was not handle properly, the tele-audience did not even get a chance to play the game, thought the game was meant for the homeviewers??...they last minute change the "format" and let those present in Chinatown to play...People trying to call-in must be wondering are they dailing the wrong number, it always engaged, no wonder, there is usually a long wait for anyone to call in to the show, the phone line are jammed....
But beside the minor mishandling...the show was quite well done....
As Usually, during festive season, your sms will have a hard time find it ways to your friends...jammed network.
Until tomorrow...??. Going to stay up late as part of the tradition for the "kid" to stay up late during Chinese new year is for their parent to live longer, as what i heard. Better believe :-)
