Getting a Pac of 林志元

With Chinese New Year around the corner, one of the things to always do during this period of time is to get New Year Goodies....One of them is "Bak Kaw"

Came over to Chinatown to get it from the Famous store -   林志元. Am also getting for my best Friend - Alvin for him to score with his love's Family.

Chinese New Year is just around the corner, The streets and shops around the area are all decorated up with Chinese New Year Decor.

The Crowd is really amazing. Even though the Slice Version is already sold out. People still Q for the left-over pieces...aka small pieces. Since I am already here. I decided to Q for it anyway. it is cheaper  @ $41. The normal Slice Version is $46. It should reach $48 later in the week when the Lunar New Year is near.

I think I Q like 2hrs before I reach their Shop-front. Phew....

Though there is this "runner" walking back and fro telling people that the Slice Pork have been sold out. I wonder why they don put this sign further up to prevent any frustration...

Every year, the street of chinatown will be filled with these mascot, for his year, 2010, it is the year of the tiger. So we have all these golden "Cat" on sale....look pretty cute!!

Lot of these prosperity decor on sales as well.

Lunar New Year is also a start of spring. How can spring be without Flowers...though these are fake flowers....it is hard for flowers to last long in humid Singapore

I wonder if they really painted the building this color for the festive season. It have been a really long time since I been in Chinatown. (>than a year)
It is the only season of the year where oranges from the US or Australia loss out to their counterparts in Taiwan and China.
The Variety of things to buy for the Lunar New Year is what attracted people to come all the way from different parts of the country

From biscuits and cakes to...

Dried food stuff

Took the opportunities to walk the street of Chinatown with Alvin and his love. The most priced and worthwhile experience must be the reward from the 2 hours Q for sliced Pork

Probably the first time having this in our house for Lunar New Year. May the coming 2010, the year of the Tiger be a year filled with blessing and happiness.
