High Tea Buffet @ The Straits Cafe, Rendezvous Hotel

It was my treat for this chicken's 34th Birthday....which he promise to treat me to another high Tea soon, but so far....he had not kept his promises...(well, what can u expect from a Chicken)

The Place, Rendezvous Hotel, @ The Straits Cafe. I was told they are famous for their Durian Dessert, like those found in Sakura International Buffer @ YCK

Buffet Starts @ 3pm. But it was quiet when I reach there, but good for us....as we can take time to have whatever we want without food running out and crowded queuing.

Nouya Stuff are not one of their attraction here...as I found nothing...but included are japaness variety of sushi, raw salmon and the locally famous...Satay...yummy!!though the Gravy could have been better..

Their "Century Egg" Congee...not hot enough....cannot expect it to be better than Crystal Jade's ones right

Chinese Variety such as buns(Char Siew) and Chicken wings tasted all right....nothing extremely out of the blue...

My "Hand-make" Rojak...aka...mixture of everything nice

Satay and "dou po" only found in Singapore....High-Tea

Got around the Place to take these photos...hopefully they serve as a good guide of what to expect from the place..

Though they don have alot of sushi variety, but it's hard to find high-Tea with Sushi included...so this is a plus here...

Typical Chinese stuff here...I think this is stuff with Char Siew fillings..if I'm not wrong

Wow...my mum used to cook this at home...kinda "cheapo" that they put it in their high-tea menu for $30+ dollars

Another bun, forgotten what they stuff in here..though..

Here comes the Seafood stuffs....the fresh Prawns...!!..but u will need to peel-off the shell....I'm too lazy to do it..lol...but this is the expensive stuff here....

Have abit of this.....but only if you can take raw-stuff and the taste of it....lemon is recommended..but fresh on the whole

Kim-Chi from Korea is included, but it a far far cry from the ones I tasted back in Korea, It's just not as fresh...the kim-chi taste...kinda being overtaken by the hotness...lol

Fruits is of course included..as in anyother high-tea...

Syrup is also provided for their ice-cream fillings.....nice...

The most famous dish...Durian.....dessert...yummy..never tasted such nice dessert...way way better than those at Sakura...and they run out very fast...I only have like 3 cups....so remember to grab these (as much as u can take) when u are there..."chicken", manage to grab quite a few

Beside the Durian, I was also mermised by the durian cake and the red ruby...total....delicious...they all taste sweet and make u feel happy...lol

At the End....I probably ate like more than a 1000 Calories of energy here...and the tummy of mine is ever growing....time to hit the road..for more runs..lol...growing older does not help as well.....

So is the high-tea worth coming again.....price of 34++ is bit steep, but if you like Durian, u can't miss this one out....7 out of 10...I graded...

This is by far the best high-Tea I have........
