Mission Accomplished -- 42Km Full Marathon

Finally completed the full marathon....to be honest, have really a short night sleep before the run. Have to get up at 4am to prepare for it....


Get my shirt...and tag in place...

The Race started at about 5.30am...lot of people....and lots of cheers also when the Kenyas...race themselves to East Coast Park while the rest of us are still running toward Shenton Way. Have to say they are really fast...


The route to East Coast Park is about 10km...took me more than 1 hrs to reach....but so far so good....running non-stop and noticing alot of folks..walking already...

Manage to last till about 21km before i starting walking..(at the end of East Coast Park after turning back)...

From then on ...it a walk a jog...kind of thing...which last me till 34km point...before I walk all the way back to the Esplanade. It was really hot then as it about 9.30am to 10am

Now I know why the Kenyas run so fast...by the time I reach my 30km mark...the sun is already shining...hot on us....and i could see huge amount of people walking...

I went for the photos-shots at the finishing line....(so that I would look cool)...Check out the photos.

Most importantly my 42.195K shirt..and head home for a nap...sleep till evening....lucky I have a holiday to look forward to..

Standard Chartered 42Km....Preparations?

The Date is Tomorrow -> 7-Dec , for my 42Km run....but as of my last run...I can only last approximately 12.66Km.....ha....that is even worst than my Half Marathon target



I manage a 14km non-stop before walking when we enter the rocky path of the "Combat Engineer" Training ground...



From the way I look at it...I will run out of gas before even entering to East Coast Park....and it a 15Km run at East Coast park..before running back to the finishing line....so I would have completed about maybe around 10km....before entering East Coast..for another 15Km...Total 25km...return trip of about 10km....(35Km) then a loop to Kallang River (maybe 4km) and another 4km to the finishing line....wowo

Let hope I can break the record(I meant my own..of 14km)....was actually thinking of running at least a 20km ......non-stop...and see how it goes....there is another 22km to go ....wo


Be running with my IPOD, my Nike + as my motivator as well...

God will be with me as well...Pray for good weather and also for the strength to last 42Km....

and the HDB looking down from the hill...was wondering if these flat are expensive as..they are on the hill....(in oversea context...means...high prices..)

It is the Right time??

Been to 2 of such talks...recently....seems like "short-term investment" is the "in" things nowadays...

What I learn from these talks...
- Learn to look at Facts and Figures...(Didn't know this is a knowledge by itself)
- Never to be greedy (you never learn if you do....Temptation....I see)
- Know what is your target and do your research (Else you would be gambling...and that's a sin)
- Learn to grow your wealth (I like this.....)


Kinda thinking of diverse out my investment options...since All my investment now is always been with insurance company....(AIG rings a bell....real bad mistakes..!!!)

I realise there is a new term to what we usually call "Contra", meaning...trading without cash upfront...and gaining the profits....it known more as "Shorting" ....such a "Sophisticated" name
and the new "slogan" --> Buy Low Sell high....(easy say than done..)

Forex...though consider as a high risk investment seems like an interest options....whereas Stocks and Share are more of like Asset (provide u choose good stocks)....to keep and invest-in.

I am thinking hard now.....it about the lowest point to enter the stock market...soon...as so to speak...(colleagues and friends...)

Telecon nights start tomorrow.....

It going to be like regular nights of Telecon.....from this week onwards....
I'm talking about work...though...

Wonder how it is really like....FYI, I don usually engage in such call back in my old days in my previous job....but now at present...this is so so common...

Everyday is either I telecon my collegues...or with my bosses...(This upcoming one is big)
I will be "teleconing" with collegues and bosses from all over the world....(exciting ha)

Let's hope it goes fine.....

My Nike+ IPOD Challenge....

Been trying really hard to upload my run data from my Nike+ via ITUNES...but doesn't seems to work...try to upload it from another PC....though....and it got through...

Now I realize...I got a Bad connection at home....

Manage to got all my Run data uploaded....here is how it look...been running arond 5Km almost everyday..

Just Enrol for fun to Challenge others in training for the StanChart Marathon this coming Dec 7th.....(FYI, 8th is a holiday....)

Also added a goal to Achieve 200km in 4 weeks....(that should be easy...)

Looking forward to running with flying colors...now I am motivated to run again.....Let see how I perform....against...people from around the world (wow)

Gathering @ The Dome - Been a long time.....

Been a long time since we all meet-up and really enjoy our self...and the gossips as well....

If you have not know...most of us have move on to "better" Positions....be it in STM or a new company....Me being the one that have "exited" the "Semicon" industry and join a Design Center..ha...kinda...

Terence (aka the one who took over my job in STM, before I went to France) back fresh from Japan....last I heard off ...is he is designing a "Chip" ...Deep men....and happily attached to his girl...in the photo?? (Guess who)

I believe most of us is happy at where we are....Wanchen especially ....must be looking forward to the coming months...(Those of u who are there should know what I 'm talking about)

It's funny and also keep me thinking on why so many of us have choose to leave.....for me..I have been thinking of that for a very very long time...feeling really disappointed with lost opportunity and also not recognise for all the effort that I have put in...

Was really surprise when "bk" make her first move....followed really closely by ptm..though did know her to well...

then Terence...gone....and I realise how come I am still around...see how much we have changed....guess...the "mummy" as we nickname her....and "u know who"

Miss Yeo is next to go....so fast..was my reaction...but i know it a matter of time..though i did not expect it to be so soon....but surprise no group photos..though....

Kee departure..meant that I am left without a lunch kaki...those new guys...just don't click with me....hiaz...

By the time, I moved on, this is the amount of people in my dept, minus...those new hired...which I don even want to describe......Glad I have make the move...ever since then...I have not be complaining about work ever since...


But Still miss those close friend I have in STM...can't help it...it been a fun 4.5 years there..

BK is giving birth soon....times really flies...a while back ...just seen Bk's son and now she is pregnant with her 2nd...and so is Kee's wife....who is also expecting their 2nd....

Was suggesting that the next time we meet...should be sometime in Mar or Apr'09...we should go to Bk's place....what do all of you think??? still a long way though....

Are we running out of Food? Melamine..is everywhere

First....we found it in Dairy products...that contain milk from the infected or should I say irresponsible companies.....

• Suddenly....lt seem like all product from China is a ?....is it safe?
• AVA suddenly have this task at hand to sample all products on the supermarket shelves..FYI...even Milo is not spare of this check...
• Our CNY Goodies..."little Rabbit" sweet is infected....
• Withdrawal of "Made in China"all Dairy product or products that contain milk from the shelves...
• The Poison Nissin instant Noodles...

Now...the Latest......Eggs...from CHINA...

I think I better stay away from China-made product..till they really come out with something....which i must say some miracles....

I have already Banned All "Made in China" computer product..ever since my make in China "Toshiba" notebook die on me...after 1 month of minimum usage....

Nike+IPOD = a motivating gadget

Been really lazy lately..skipping Gym quite abit....feeling extremely tired after work to even go for a workout.....The End results...I put on 1Kg of Weight....

FYI....I was 67kg....(do the maths)


Wanted to get this cool gadget...to get me running again....but put it off due to that I don have a Nike+ Running Shoe...

And then the Papers say they have a 3rd party holder......and I got it.....been using it for a while..now...but still need to calibrate.....abit off on the distance....

And now I am motivated...again....42K.....here i come....

2mins Tree-Top Walk and A Drunky night....

Wake up real....early for this Tree top walk that only lasted like 2mins...We were playing host to our HK Classmate from Sheffield....Douglas.....


the other 2.5hours ...was spending trekking to the place...a total of 10km....to and from....


@ the half way point...stop by and rest....photo-spot...


Feeling tired but....it's a great workout...


Look at the greenery up here....didn't know urban Singapore still have such thick "forest"

Hungry is the word after this walk.....and it off to TPY to resolve this....But the day did not end this early....We are off to St James....Dragonfly.....for a fun fun night...

I must say I was guity too in getting the "HKee" Drunk....but look like I am more drunk.....

The chicken wing and the nacho chips with cheese was really delicious..here.....

I think everyone is pretty high when we left...the place.....we have ice throwing....drinking from the ice tub.......

Remember back in the Sheffield's Day....this kind of partying is pretty common....and still very much enjoy it now....ha...

My 21Km Run ....Certificate.....42Km....Yoohoo

My Official Certificate has arrived....though not something to boast about......it still an achievement for me...My very first completed 21Km Run....

I must say...I only jog for about 15Km...non-stop...the rest is like 1km...walk and jog...

Must really do better next year....Timing of 2hrs and 37min.....is pretty slow....(for a guy), but should be easily broken....

Do the Maths....I would ideally finish my 42Km Full Marathon...in about 6hrs....(wonder is the finishing pt still there by then...ha)

Yes....I have sign-up for this run....coming in Dec-7th..Wish me luck

"Live" @ F1 Circuit...Vroom......

Was "live" at the F1 Circuit on Sunday...to just get a feel of how F1 Racing is like...hah....didn't expect it to be so loud....and crowded....

Everyone is wearing an F1-related Tee.....and also carrying the F1 badges....(aka Passes)


Such an important date in Singapore History...not forgetting a snapshot...

FYI...I didn't know we can actually get passes into the F1 Circuit...3 day --> $168....Let do that in 2009.....

F1 is in Town...for the first time

Didn't really find F1, Formula 1 racing to be this exciting....used to play the Playstation game...and find it really boring...racing round and round the track


But this time round, the event is coming to Singapore for the very first time and also world first...Night Race...First time I am really amazed with the singapore night skyline....

Caught it at the Grand Cathay....and I was really surprise...by the show...turn out that Meryl Streep can sing....so does Pierce Brosnan.

Seen the Actual Musical before, and I must say it comparable...and this is way way better than hairspray...
