Always not use to staying at home on a eve of a new year...2009...to be exact....so the Plan was to catch a show...and go see fireworks....been counting down the year since 2003....
Catch this Jim Carrey..Comedy. Quite a positive show to watch....actually thought it was crappy...but turn out quite enlightening... this show actually tell us to live a life..."look like I better starting doing things I don do usually in 2009".....Saying "Yes" all the time...nah.....I think i need deep thoughts on this...:-)
show ended early at around 1hr to midnight...make our way to 1 Raffles Quay....to catch fireworks...
Avoided Marina Square area as some 100,000 crowd is expected there...for the concert....but when we arrive at our Destination...surprise suprise....big crowds here as well....all waiting for the fireworks...
It pitch black at the area near the bay....think We are on "Reclaimed land".....
Have not been to the city since the Std Chartered Marathon. The Sand is already 1/3 completed....:-0...I meant the height of the 3 buildings...ECD...end of 2009 or 2o10....
Opportunity shot of the skyscraper of the city skyline...it's 280m high only...nothing compare to the Pertronas towers in KL
Another shot of the make-up of the city skyline....Financial Center of Singapore...
Fireworks started on time....but my watch is 2min behind.....
Fireworks didn't turn out as good as I though on Camera....Colour was bit off.....angle as well
powerful..explosion...but I was late at the shutter button.....
Look like space galaxy...
This year fireworks was approximately 7min long....
Spectacular endings and a bright opening to 2009 of which most thought is going to be a tough year ahead.
Can't think to much..the night is still young as we make our way to "lau Pa Sa" for Supper...Fried Kway Thy
and Fried Oyster...."Or Jian"
Looking ahead....just hope to be able to keep my job in the new year (lot of negative new on retrenchment...)....and fulfill all those resolution I set out to do in 2008 but failed to finish them....Let's hope 2009 will be the year...
