Segway Night Trail

Another Groupon Adventures, We are really a big fan of Groupon, from Food, Goods to some of our outings. The Latest one being Segway After Dark Night Adventure. A 90 mins Night Tour to the Darkest Corner of Sentosa.

It was not as crowded as I thought it would be. We must be one of those who choose such a late timing, 9.30pm. Am surprise that after checking with the Counter staff, there are people going on the 11pm slots as well.

The Theme of the Tour is - Ghostly. Telling us the history and the Dark Ghostly stuff that happen on the island during the 2nd World War.

We are required to watch a DVD introducing us to the Segway Buggy and to also put on our Safety Gear before going for our Hand-on "experience" of the Buggy. We have another couple on the same Tour with us. At least it is not that boring...though we din really make friends with them (Anti-social me)

Leg Pads, Elbow Pad, Head Gear, All Checked.

Dear was screaming all the way trying to control her Segway buggy.

It is definitely more stable than the one we tried last time during the day time. This is a higher end model. More stable, motorised and easier to control. Lead forward to move forward, lead to the left or right to turn and Stand upright and pull the handle to stop

We were each given a radio for communications with our Tour guide who will lead us to our destination. I have some problems with the comms, likely due to low batteries issue. They change to another one for me. The Comms are use by the the tour guide to describe the destination and also to give out warning on dangerous part of the island as well as to "Scare" us (Unsuccessful though)

We have a few round of trying out the segway and we are on our way....zipping thr forest, toward the siloso Beach, into the Underwater world, toward the caves and abandoned structures during the World War II on the island. FYI , The Orange guy is our tour guide.

We ended up on the Cable-Car Station, where we make a return trip down to the area near the ifly.

It was a rather fun and enjoyable experience. The Buggy was much easier to control and it can get up to a high speed. The only part I don like is ....the always feel like falling off feeling while riding ...especially when it is accelerating.

But I don think the Tour have any repeated visit worth to it. Sentosa is just too small an island to do this over and over again. But it would be fun if they extended it to other part of the island such especially to those area not accessible by public Transport such as the Rail or bus.
